Saturday, August 7, 2010- 5 pm until 8 pm- Summer Soiree
On Saturday, August 7th, 2010, Hunters Valley Winery will be hosting a "Winery by the Woods" Soiree to benefit the Harrisburg Art Association. The Billies, a Lancaster duo, will perform a soothing and engaging selection of original music.
The art exhibit will feature an exceptional group - Pat Koscienski, Stephen Wetzel, Jon Tritt, Cathy Mabius, Madeline Reiley, Robert Hughes, and Ralph Hocker - who all have worked "en plein air" at the winery. Many of the paintings displayed will be for sale.
Hunters Valley wine will be accompanied by hors d'oeuvres. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the winery for $35 or for $40 at the door. Tickets can also be purchased on line at www.artassocofhbg.com. Please join us for this very special event!



 

Thursday, August 12 from 6 to 9. Hunters Valley Winery will provide tastings and sell bottled wine at the Shikellamy State Park Overlook in Union County during a free Concert in the Park provided by the Friends of Shikellamy State Park.
Saturday, August 14, 2010- 2:00 pm until 4:30 pm- The Great PA Wine Toast
One day, one toast, one celebrity toastmaster, one world record.
On Saturday, August 14th, 2010, Hunters Valley Winery will join other wineries across the state in attempt to break the record for the world's largest wine tasting.
Jess Maurer Jazz Quartet, cool traditional jazz from Harrisburg will entertain from 2 to 4. The concert, in our breezy pavilion on top of the hill, is free. Commemorative glasses filled with the wine of your choice will sell for $5.50. Snacks of fruit and cheese will be provided for a donation.
At 4 pm, auto racing legend Mario Andretti will deliver the toast via video.
Raffle tickets are available now for purchase at the winery of a chance to win a bottle of our delicious Cabernet Franc Rose wine signed by Mario Andretti. The winning ticket will be drawn on the day of the event, and all proceeds go to the Fund to Benefit Children and Youth ( www.fundforkids.org )

All charitable proceeds from this event will benefit The Fund to Benefit Children and Youth. Come and participate on August 14 to be a part of wine history and sample some fantastic wines, of course!
Saturday, August 28 from 8 to 5. Look for Hunters Valley Winery at the Shippensburg Corn Festival, a very lively all day craft fair.
Sunday, September 5 from 4 to 9, Perry County Council of the Arts presents the Quebe Sisters, fantastic fiddlers from Texas, for a benefit performance following a very special Country Casual meal at Hunters Valley Winery. Tickets cost $50.00 at the winery and the PCCA Gallery.

October 23 and 24, 2010 11 - 5 Fall Open House and Craft Fair

Taste wine with snacks, browse through craft booths on the lawn, mingle with other wine loving folks and listen to live music in the wedding pavilion.

Saturday, December 4 Holiday Open House Enjoy wine tasting with snacks and listen to the holiday favorites by Tom Edmondson on vocal and keyboard from 1 to 3 pm. Teresa Sommerville will be demonstrating Tastefully Simple products, also.

The Whole Month of March
Savor the Experience at Susquehanna Heartland Wine Trail

Visit the Susquehanna Heartland Wine Trail for good tastes every weekend in March. Buy a Ticket to Good Taste and Adventure for $20.00 ($35.00 per couple) and collect a gift at each winery. Visit all six wineries on the tour, and get your ticket entered in a drawing for B&B stays and fine dining meals. Each weekend each winery will showcase a special wine and the food it enhances, winery tours and tastes of award-winning wines. Some of the wineries will also feature live music and there will be a special hunt for a prize. Check the web site, pawinetrail.com for schedules, directions and B&B package tours.
